With Wall Mural Art You Literally Live in Your World of Fantasy
Having just moved into a new apartment I had my hands full with decorating the entire place. The entire experience was amazing and exciting, until I stumbled across the hardest decision in my life by far. What should I do with the walls? I didn’t want them to look corny, and being the geek I am, I immediately came up with an amazing idea – wall mural art.
Since I live alone and spend most of my time playing games, I’ve seen some amazing concepts of art in video games that have just left me in awe. Therefore, I decided to have my bedroom (where my PC is) decorated with wall mural art. All I had to do was decide what theme I wanted it to be. It took me quite a while to decide what, or more precisely who I wanted painted up there.
After giving it a long and hard thought, I chose one with my favourite Warcraft character – Grommash Hellscream. For all of those unfamiliar with the Warcraft universe, Grommash Hellscream is a red skinned orc, who carries a huge axe named Gorehowl. This is what he looks like.
Once I had figured out who I wanted painted on my wall, I had to figure out how to do it. So, I went online, and looked for local artists who do wall painting or graffiti and found one whose work I was really impressed with and immediately contacted them.
Local artists are not the only option though, you can browse wall mural art and order online and you’ll be really surprised regarding the plethora of options they have. These online stores are like vast art stations.
I sent him the concept art of what I wanted drawn and gave him the measurements of my wall on which I wanted to have it drawn. After a few hours, he replied and offered to come take a look in person. I agreed and it was just the next day that he knocked on my door and we started planning everything out.
He explained how the process will go and how long it will take. Honestly, it didn’t last for more than a few days and I was really impressed and satisfied with the end result. So, it’s always great to do something unorthodox in order to spice up your apartment. Regardless whether you are a nerd like myself, or just want a picture of practically anything, don’t be afraid to experiment and make your living space more unique.
